The desktop app runs a paper in a window that cannot be left, on a machine your institution has enrolled — and sits it with no internet at all if it has to. The phone app is for results, marking and the register. The website needs neither.

A window that cannot be left
Fullscreen, on top, no other tabs or windows. Everything the lock cannot prevent is recorded instead, and the invigilator sees it live.
A machine you have enrolled
A device key kept in the OS credential store signs every request, so an exam can insist on being sat in your lab and nowhere else.
No internet required
Carry a sealed pack in on a stick, sit the paper offline, and upload the results — each attempt signed by the machine that produced it.
Exam machines
Install on each lab machine, then sign in once as an administrator to enrol it. A machine that has not been enrolled can still sit an exam that does not require one. No desktop build has been published yet.

Every file's SHA-256 is in the manifest and in the X-Checksum-SHA256 header of the download. An exam can require a minimum app
version, so keep lab machines on the newest build before exam day.
