Moving finished exams out of the way without deleting them, and reading, downloading or restoring them later.

For AdministratorsTeachers

Archiving an exam

Archiving moves an exam and everything about it (the paper, every attempt, every result and its integrity log) out of the database into one file in storage. Nothing is deleted. Archiving each term’s exams once results are out keeps the app fast.

  1. Open the exam’s Settings tab. Archive this exam appears once the exam is closed, cancelled or its results are out, and nobody is still writing.
  2. Press Archive and confirm.

Any surveillance evidence is deleted first; none of it goes into an archive. Archiving is something you choose; nothing is archived automatically.

Archived exams

On Exams, press Archived exams. Each one lists its attempts, candidates, when it ended and when it was archived.

  • View reads the exam exactly as it was: the averages, the result table and each attempt.
  • Download saves the archive file.
  • Restore puts the exam back into the app. The file stays in storage as a backup.
