A custom domain
You can run Examline at an address such as examline.yourschool.com. You add one DNS record; the certificate is set up for you. Staff and students sign in there with the same accounts.
- Open Settings → Organisation and find Custom domain.
- Type the Address. It must be a subdomain of a domain your school owns, not the bare domain. Press Use this address.
- Add the records shown (a CNAME, and sometimes a TXT) where your domain’s DNS is managed.
- Press Check now. The badge moves from Waiting for DNS to Live, usually within a few minutes and occasionally an hour.
- Untick Offer “Continue with Google” to show only email and password on your address.
- Only your organisation’s members can sign in at your address.
- One custom domain per organisation. Remove the address stops using it and signs out anyone signed in there.
Branding
Under Settings → Organisation → Branding, set a Product name, a Colour, and a logo (Upload logo: PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG, up to 512 kB, square works best). Press Save branding. The preview shows the result.
If your partner has branding, your organisation uses it until you set your own; the badge says Inherited from your partner or Your own.
